On the morning of the 8 November, Bedford Borough residents will wake up to the Christmas lights being up on the High Street in Bedford. The lights switch-on – announced earlier in the month – will take place on Saturday 19 November at 4:30pm from Harpur Square.
During Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee weekend in June 2022, a spectacular 21- metre “Tree of Trees” sculpture, which featured 350 British native trees, was created outside Buckingham Palace as the exciting centrepiece of the weekend’s celebrations.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bedford Borough residents who held a statutory English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) pass were able to travel on bus journeys outside the hours of operation of the scheme for a discounted fare of £1.
