    From Thursday 30 December to Monday 10 January, there will be 8 Christmas tree recycling sites across the Borough where you can drop off your real Christmas tree, for it to be composted.

  • Bedford Borough Council Provide School Holiday Food Vouchers


    Bedford Borough Council will be providing vouchers to families with children eligible for income related free school meals.

    Funded through the Household Support Fund, the council will provide households £50 per eligible child or young person in Bedford Borough for the school holiday.

  • Have Your Say- PSPO Extension

    Since the Council first implemented the town centre cycling PSPO in 2016, over 3200 tickets have been issued to those cycling illegally through pedestrianised areas of our town centre.

    This PSPO is set to expire next year, and the Council is consulting on continuing it for a further three years and including additional restrictions on e-scooters and skateboarding.

    Bedford Borough Council is asking for your views on its Budget for 2022/23.

    COVID-19 has had a major impact on the Council’s finances and resources, alongside ongoing increased demand for services such as care for the vulnerable.
