  • Improvement Works at Allhallows Coming to Completion


    Major improvements to Allhallows and Church Square have been taking place since summer 2020 and is now complete, barring some minor snagging works.

    During this project the whole length of Allhallows from St Loyes Street down to Midland Road and Church Square saw improvement works carried out.

    The existing pavements and roadway were rebuilt and re-laid with high quality granite, new seating and cycle stands were installed, alongside new lighting.

  • Free School Meal Vouchers For Half-Term


    Bedford Borough children from families that receive income-related free school meals are again eligible for a £15 each, for next week’s half term school holiday.

    Eligible families who received vouchers from the council’s free school meals scheme previously will automatically receive an email. For anyone whose circumstances have changed the Council is encouraging them to register and apply for free school meals, so that they can receive the support they need.

  • Surge Testing Continues This Week- Get Tested

    People who live, work or study in the areas of Cauldwell, Kingsbrook, Queens Park and the Wixams are being strongly encouraged to take a COVID-19 PCR test this week.

  • Statement from the Council Regarding Updated Government Guidance

    With local spread of the variant of concern B.1.617.2, first identified in India, the Government has advised people not to travel to or from Bedford Borough to help stop the spread of the virus.
