    The Bedford Borough Community Safety Partnership (CSP) has launched the Community Safety Consultation, and wants to hear your views.

    This Partnership includes Bedford Borough Council, Bedfordshire Police, Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue, and other local organisations and works together towards a shared vision of “tackling crime, disorder, anti-social behaviour, drug and alcohol misuse and increasing people perceptions about safety and well-being in our communities.”

  • Check Out Your Local Library this Half-Term

    The summer half-term is nearly here, and there are lots of completely free activities for the kids across Bedford Borough’s local libraries

    Arts and craft sessions at the libraries this half-term have a spring-time theme, with sunflower coasters, flower pot decoration, bookmark design, go outdoors planting, scratch art magnet making, and more.

  • Bedford Junior Aquathlon

    Bedford Junior Aquathlon returns on Sunday 9th June.

    An Aquathlon is a combined swimming and running event, and is held twice a year in Bedford at Robinson Pools and Fitness and Bedford Park, with children from school years 3- 11 welcome to take part.

    There are five age categories; with year 3’s challenged to swim 66 metres and a 600 metre run all the way up to years 10 and 11 students swimming 400 metres and a 2.8km run.

    Dave Hodgson has been re-elected Mayor following the Borough-wide Mayoral election on 2nd May 2019.

    As Bedford Borough’s directly elected Mayor he will head the Council, have considerable decision-making power and will represent the borough at a local and national level.

    Dave Hodgson was first elected Mayor of Bedford Borough in October 2009.
