Key authorities met with residents again on Monday evening, to provide the latest update on the investigation into the incident in Cleat Hill, Bedford.

Bedford Borough Council and the King’s Arms Project are tackling poverty at Christmas, with their partnership to deliver the Bedford Winter Night Shelter.

The initiative will provide up to 2,000 bed spaces, and 4,000 meals, across 100 nights this winter.

The South Midlands Authorities is pleased to announce the formation of a new Business Board, established to act as the voice for businesses across the region. 

A number of road and footpaths closures remain in place in Bedford Borough, following the incident in Cleat Hill.

A cordon and the closures are in place for the safety of the public and to allow operations to take place.

Every resident who was evacuated from their home after an incident in Bedford last weekend has now had a chance to access their property, giving them the opportunity to collect their belongings.

Bedford Borough Council is offering office space to residents affected by the incident which occurred in Cleat Hill, Bedford, on Saturday 19 October.
