Our staff-run networks aim to support staff and promote positive change across the Council.
African, Caribbean and Asian employee network (ACA)
The ACA network is for staff who identify as black, Asian, brown or mixed/multi-heritage. The network will provide a safe space for Black and Asian staff, in any role and level, to come together and support each other personally and professionally in an informal environment.
Care Experienced Staff Network
The purpose of the Care Experienced Staff Network is to reduce barriers and improve equality of opportunity for care experienced staff and the wider care experienced community.
The Care Experienced Staff Network aims to bring together members from across the organisation. It is a platform to discuss issues relevant to members and allow the organisation to consult with those who have lived experienced of care.
Christian Network
The Christian Network includes Christians from across the Council (and other organisations working in Borough Hall) of different denominations.
Early Careers Network
Our Early Careers Network connect members of staff who are just starting out in their local government careers. It provides a space to meet colleagues from across the Council, develop personal skills and participate in workshops to support your personal and professional development.
EDI (Equality, diversity and inclusion) network
The EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) Network aims to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the workforce and in all that it does. It fosters the values of inclusivity and equity, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
Menopause Network
The Menopause Network provides a safe and supportive space for staff experiencing perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, including transgender and non-binary individuals who are biologically experiencing menopause. It aims to offer mutual support, give a voice to those with lived experience regarding workplace issues, and raise awareness among the wider workforce and managers.
LGBTQIA+ Staff Network
The LGBTQIA + Network is for staff who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Staff Community Engagement Network
The Staff Community Engagement Network is open to all Council employees to discuss best practice community engagement, share the work happening within different teams and services, and participate in presentations and/or training that builds our understanding of working with communities.
