Bin collections
Bin collections will run as usual, check your bin day whenever you need at www.bedford.gov.uk/bins.
Household Waste and Recycling Centre
The Household Waste and Recycling Centre (‘the tip’) is open as usual, find all the information you’ll need before your visit at www.bedford.gov.uk/HWRC. Bank Holidays are usually very busy so if you can, please visit earlier or later in the day as these are a little quieter.
We also ask if you can try to sort your waste by material type before you arrive as this will make it quicker for you once you arrive. Please keep any children or pets in your vehicle and do not let them out while on site.
Libraries
All libraries are open as usual on Saturday with children’s clubs and activities.
Bedford Central Library will be open on Sunday as usual with Sunday Funday activities for younger children.
On Monday, Kempston and Putnoe libraries will be open for LibraryPlus members from 10am to 4pm. Bedford Central, Bromham and Wootton libraries will be closed.

The Higgins Bedford
The Higgins Bedford is open as usual on Saturday and Sunday. It is usually closed on Mondays but will be open on Bank Holiday Monday from 2pm to 5pm.
