Bin collections will run as usual, check your bin day whenever you need at www.bedford.gov.uk/bins.
Household Waste and Recycling Centre
The Household Waste and Recycling Centre (‘the tip’) is open as usual, find all the information you’ll need before your visit at www.bedford.gov.uk/HWRC. Bank holidays are usually very busy so if you can, please visit earlier or later in the day as these are a little quieter.
We also ask if you can try to sort your waste by material type before you arrive as this will make it quicker for you once you arrive. Please keep any children or pets in your vehicle and do not let them out while on site.
Bedford Borough What’s On Visitor Information Centre, Silver Street
The Bedford Borough What’s On Visitor Information Centre on Silver Street is open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Bedford Borough Libraries
All our libraries will be open as usual on Saturday.
Bedford Central Library will be open as usual on Sunday.
On Monday, Kempston and Putnoe libraries open for LibraryPlus members (10am–4pm). Bedford Central, Bromham and Wootton libraries closed.
