We introduced weekly food waste collections for houses and flats from 30 March. If you haven't received your food caddies yet please report via our Replace damaged or missing bins and food caddies page.
Bin collections
Bin collections in Bedford Borough operate on an alternate weekly basis, with food waste collected weekly:
- One week we collect your black bin for general waste and your outdoor food waste bin.
- The following week we collect your orange lidded bin for recycling, green bin for garden waste (if you have one), and your outdoor food waste bin.
Collection schedules may be different if you live in a property that uses shared bins.
Garden waste collections (green lidded bins)
Garden waste collections (green lidded bins) run from 1 March to 30 November each year (collections are suspended over the winter period).
