Residents and businesses can request a new parking restriction be considered by the Council.

For example:

• yellow lines 
• controlled parking zones (CPZ)

Be aware parking restriction requests need to follow a number of steps which may take time to complete: 

• inspection
• identification of need
• public consultation
• site surveys
• physical works to put restrictions on the road

It is important to take a community approach to any new parking restriction request so you may need to work with other local residents and your local councillor.

While every request is considered, not all parking restriction requests will be approved. If after consideration a parking restriction is granted, a new traffic regulation order would need to be approved.
