Ace news for tennis fans – a new operator has taken over the running of tennis courts in public parks across Bedford Borough from Friday 14 June, offering free sessions and learning opportunities to sports-lovers.

Carers in Bedford Borough have been given a double boost, with an 8.6% increase in their allowances for 2024-25.

Carers across the country have been given a 4.6% annual uplift, but Bedford Borough Council has added an additional 4% increase – and it has been backdated to 1 April.

The holiday activities and food (HAF) programme is back again this summer, providing healthy meals, fun activities, and free childcare places to children across Bedford Borough.
