Some of the biggest names in music from the last 50 years will be coming to Bedford Park this summer.

Bedford Summer Sessions runs every day from 2-5 July, and fans can be confident on where to park when they come to enjoy the performances.

Bedford Borough Council is pleased to announce that parking is a short walk away at Queen Street Car Park (MK40 2HA or what3words: punk.doll.swift). It will remain open overnight with chargeable hours from 8am-6pm, but free of charge after 6pm on the following dates:

• Thursday 2 July – Deacon Blue, with The Lightning Seeds
• Friday 3 July – UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, with Bitty McLean, Reggae Roast feat. Horseman
• Saturday 4 July – Tom Grennan, with Brooke Combe and Fiona-Lee
• Sunday 5 July – Paul Weller, with Miles Kane and Arkayla

All shows run from 5-11pm.

As the concerts run into the evening, the overnight opening of Queen Street Car Park aims to make it convenient for attendees, allowing them to enjoy the music without worrying about parking restrictions.

Notices will be displayed at car park entrances ahead of these dates to inform drivers of the extended hours and the free parking after 6pm offer.

Councillor John Wheeler, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience (inc. Leisure, Recreation and Culture) said; “I can’t wait for Bedford Summer Sessions to return, it’s always one of the highlights of the summer. On event nights, we will keep Queen Street Car Park open overnight, with free parking after 6pm. We aim to make it easier, safer and more convenient for those attending.”

Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 and over who has their own ticket. Children aged two and under can attend for free and do not need a ticket. All other children must have a full price ticket to enter the event.
