Age UK Bedfordshire have announced that the Ageing Well Exhibition 2025 will be taking place on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, 10am-2.30pm at Bedford Corn Exchange, St Paul’s Square, Bedford, MK40 1SL.

This free community event offers residents aged 50 and over - as well as their friends, family, and carers - a unique opportunity to discover the wide range of services and support available locally to promote independence and wellbeing.

Supported through a collaborative approach between health and social care, under the Better Care Fund (BCF), the exhibition will feature 41 organisations, including key local partners such as the NHS, Alzheimer’s Society, Bedford Housing Association, Bedford Fire and Rescue, British Red Cross, and many others. Bedford Borough Council departments will also be in attendance to provide information and advice on health, care, housing, money, benefits, leisure, and more.

Visitors can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with complimentary beverages and engage in taster sessions of music, dance, and exercise throughout the day.

Councillor Robert Rigby, Portfolio Holder for Valuing Families: Adults Services, at Bedford Borough Council, said, “We are delighted to support the Ageing Well Exhibition, which plays a vital role in connecting residents with essential services that enhance quality of life and independence. This event underscores our commitment to helping people live well in Bedford Borough, with access to information, support, and community activities tailored to their needs.”

Steve Perry, Chief Executive Officer of Age UK Bedfordshire, commented, “The Ageing Well Exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for people aged 50 and over to learn about the many ways our community supports their health and wellbeing. Sometimes knowing where to turn for help can be overwhelming, and this event makes accessing that vital information easy and welcoming.”
