The Mindful Sport programme aims to improve the mental health of people in the community through social physical activity sessions.
The activities help people who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression and other similar conditions.
All physical activity sessions suspended
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we have suspended sport sessions run by Sports Development to ensure the safety of participants, staff and volunteers. This includes:
- Over 70s
- Active Adults
- Just Turn Up
- Mindful Sport
- No Limits
- Multi Activity Group (MAC)
- Tai Chi
- GP Exercise Referral
Live online classes
We have a range of live online fitness classes, including mindful yoga, for you to keep moving and promote wellbeing at home. Go to Bedford Sport Live for the full timetable of free classes

Mental Health Awareness Training
One in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year.
Completing the Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity course will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to better understand and support people living with mental health problems, and create a positive environment that ensures they enjoy the benefits of being active and keep them coming back for more.
This course is free until 31 August 2020.
