Measuring performance helps us to identify areas of poor performance, which can then be investigated and improved.
We also identify good practice and opportunities to learn from others. Regular performance reporting ensures a sustained focus on those things that matter.
Performance management is an essential tool that helps us monitor, improve and maintain good performance, helping us achieve our objectives as set out in our Corporate Plan.
Overview and scrutiny
As well as monitoring our corporate objectives we also measure performance against our statutory requirements.
We do all of this in a transparent way by reporting information to the Council’s Executive and Overview and Scrutiny Committees.
