Do you know any children or young people with Special Education Needs and/or a Disability (SEND) who live in Bedford Borough, and want to find out more about the support that is available?

From grants to Blue Badges, leisure opportunities to family services, there is a whole host of support available - and a special online event this month will give you the chance to learn more.

On the day you will receive an email from Local.Offer@bedford.gov.uk with a link to the local offer tour Microsoft Teams meeting,  where Bedford Borough Council staff will be providing an informal tour of our Local Offer webpages.

Information will include

  1. Things to know when you are just getting started on your SEND journey
  2. How to find out if you are eligible for a Blue Badge
  3. How to apply for a Carers in Bedfordshire Grant
  4. Exclusive leisure opportunities, soft play, the Sensory Room, and the Stay up late Living it up nights out.

Cllr Jane Walker, Portfolio Holder for Family, Education, Children’s Services said; “We are committed to offering a full range of support to children and young people with Special Education Needs and disabilities, and to working with other organisations which want to do the same.
