Children are normally admitted to school at the start of or during the reception year, that is the school year in which they become 5. Parents of children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 who are due to be admitted in September 2019 will be required to apply to the local authority where they live for a place in the reception class.
You can view the booklet for parents, Starting School Booklet (PDF), and download a copy of the Starting School application form (PDF), but we strongly recommend that you apply for a place using the online facility. If you do not have access to the internet, you can collect an application form from your local school.
Please do not use the online facility or this application form if you are applying for a nursery place - you should contact the school for information about the application process.

National Offer Day - 16 April 2019
If you have applied online, you will receive an email to let you know the outcome of your application. In addition, as the results will be posted to the online system overnight, you can log into your account to access the result of your application. If you have not applied online, we will post a letter to you on this day. Those of you who have not been offered a place at your first preference school will also be sent a copy of this information sheet which provides you with information about the number of applications and places offered at each school, and how to lodge an appeal.
