Bedford Music Service is one of four consortium members of the BLMK Music Hub: joining music services from the local authorities of Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes in a wider regional partnership. Each music service takes responsibility for BLMK Music Hub funding in their local area.

Bedford Music Service is part of Bedford Borough Council and oversees the educational vision, ethos and direction of the work of BLMK Music Hub in Bedford Borough. It supports schools to deliver high-quality music education through a range of networking and CPD opportunities. It delivers whole class projects in schools, offers low-cost instrument hire to schools and families, organises large-scale events and supports several different weekly musical groups and progression routes.

We work closely with a number of partners (including schools and local music organisations) to ensure that all children and young people across Bedford Borough have access to high-quality, inclusive and varied musical experiences and progression routes.

Through Arts Council funding, Music Education Hubs are supported to deliver the requirements of the National Plan for Music Education.

Visit our website Bedford Music Service for information on our services and our offer to schools, children and young people in Bedford Borough.
