At this early stage, we are inviting you to nominate potential sites and development opportunities that could help shape the borough’s future. These may include:

  • housing and employment sites
  • leisure, recreation and community facilities
  • town centre and retail uses
  • open spaces and biodiversity enhancements
  • renewable energy and regeneration projects.

This exercise will run until midnight on 30 October 2026.

How to submit a site or development opportunity

To submit a site or development opportunity, please complete the online form available below and answer each question as clearly and fully as you can.

Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format. All submissions should include details such as site boundaries, proposed land uses, estimated capacity, delivery timescales and known constraints

Please note: Submitting a site or development opportunity does not guarantee its inclusion in the new plan. Sites and development opportunities will be evaluated based on various factors, including access to services, flood risk, contamination and other constraints.

For information purposes only, you can view the emerging Site Selection Methodology (PDF).

The opportunity to submit sites and development opportunities will remain open throughout this period and will close at midnight on Friday 30 October 2026.

Step by step video guide

A video to guide you through the process will be available here soon.
