Over the last weekend of February, starting today - Friday 25 February- and finishing on Sunday 27, Bedford Borough Council will be carrying out a deep clean and maintenance works at Bedford Bus Station.
The Bus Station is a well-used local facility, with services running locally and regionally to get people to and from work, travelling for leisure, and visiting loved ones. As such, as with any building, areas have started to look a little tired and in need of some TLC.

Bedford Borough Council is urging local hospitality and leisure businesses to apply for a one off support grant, expected to be around £650.
This grant is through Government-funded discretionary Omicron grant scheme, and the Council is using it to support hospitality and leisure businesses that did not receive a grant through the main scheme. These include businesses in the following sectors:
Bedford Borough Council has invested in new, portable CCTV cameras that they are deploying at fly-tipping hotspots around Bedford Borough.
The Council is using footage to help identify vehicles present in the vicinity of fly-tipping or individuals who may have information about fly-tipping so that enforcement action can be taken against the appropriate persons who are engaged in this activity.
