A summer programme of free tennis sessions starts in Bedford Park this month.
Tennis enthusiasts to budding new starters across the Borough are invited to book a Free Parks Tennis session. The next available session is on Saturday 23 May from midday-1pm.
Open to people of all ages, abilities and skill levels, the session will be held at the refurbished tennis courts in Bedford Park, with all equipment provided.
Places can be booked now at the LTA website.
Organised by Bedford Borough Council and the National Tennis Association (NTA), the free sessions are part of a summer programme of tennis activities which will take place at the site on Park Avenue.
As part of the programme, a Schools Roadshow open day will be held on Saturday 6 June from 2-3pm, as part of NTA’s Big Tennis Weekend. The free one-hour taster sessions are perfect for beginners and packed with games, mini-challenges, teamwork activities and fun, with tennis equipment provided.
Led by fully trained coaches, children can learn new skills, build confidence and make new friends.

Tennis fans of all abilities can also take advantage of the Bedford Parks Tennis coaching offer for a free taster session and 30% off group coaching for the first month, led by professional tennis coaches at venues across the Borough.
