Tom Wootton, Mayor of Bedford Borough has made changes to his executive.
The Cabinet will reduce from 10 to eight portfolio holders, with some consequent changes to the allocation of responsibilities.
The new Cabinet comprises:
- Mayor Tom Wootton – Elected Mayor, covering Service Improvement, Inward Investment and Communities
- Councillor Jim Weir – Deputy Mayor, covering Corporate Services and External Relations
- Councillor Marc Frost – Portfolio Holder for Financial Services and Financial Sustainability
- Councillor John Wheeler – Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience (inc. Leisure, Recreation and Culture)
- Councillor Andrea Spice – Portfolio Holder for Economic Prosperity, Planning, Housing and Regulatory Services
- Councillor Nicola Gribble – Portfolio Holder for Environment
- Councillor Martin Towler – Portfolio Holder for Valuing Families: Adult Services, Health and Wellbeing
- Councillor Jane Walker – Portfolio Holder for Valuing Families: Children’s Services.
