Have you had your say on pharmacy services in Bedford Borough?

Every three years we undertake a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA), and the next one for our borough is due to be published by 1 October 2025.

The PNA looks at what pharmacy services each area has, where they are located and what pharmacy services might be needed in the future.

Councillor Martin Towler, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities: Health and Wellbeing said; “Access to high-quality pharmaceutical services is a key part of ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. A robust pharmaceutical service ensures that residents receive the medications and advice to manage their health effectively.

“Pharmacies also play a critical role in preventative care, helping to reduce the burden on our healthcare system.

“Please take part in the consultation, your views will help ensure the final PNA accurately reflects the needs of our population and supports access to pharmaceutical services.”

An online survey is now open and closes on 21 June.

To take part, visit https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/necs/bedford-borough-pna-consultation-2025. The survey should not take more than 10 minutes to complete.

If you are unable to complete the survey online, email Public.Health@bedford.gov.uk to request a paper version. Please return any paper versions of this survey to the return address provided on the form.
