Bedford Borough Council is delighted to announce the opening of this year’s Christmas wreath on the much-loved “Reflections of Bedford” statue, also known as the Silver Faces, located on Silver Street, Bedford. Sponsored by Costa, this splendid 3.8-metre wreath made from real foliage, including holly, ivy, and festive decorations, continues to be a standout feature of Bedford’s festive celebrations.

Since its inaugural display in 2022, the wreath has become a beloved symbol of the town’s rich history and community spirit. The wreath embodies Bedford’s tradition of celebrating the festive season in the heart of the town. The recent addition of a bench last year has transformed the area into one of Bedford’s most popular selfie spots during the Christmas period, attracting residents and visitors alike.

The wreath’s location at Silver Square, just outside the What’s On Bedford Borough Visitor Information Centre, is notable for its high footfall, ensuring the festive spirit reaches a diverse audience of pedestrians and motorists in Bedford’s town centre.

Tom Wootton, Directly Elected Mayor of Bedford Borough, said, “We are proud to continue the tradition of the Bedford Christmas wreath, a beautiful display that reflects both the festive cheer and the community pride of our historic market town. Thanks to Costa’s generous sponsorship and the skills of Hay Lane Flowers, the wreath not only brightens the heart of Bedford but also brings people together to celebrate the season in a truly special way. We look forward to welcoming everyone to enjoy this iconic festive landmark once again.”

Vinay Victor, Area Manager for Costa Coffee Bedford, said, “Christmas is all about those little moments that bring us together, and we’re proud to support an event that celebrates just that. As a long-standing part of the Bedford community, we’re delighted to sponsor this year’s Christmas Wreath and help make the festivities shine even brighter. It’s a wonderful occasion that truly captures the spirit of the season.”
