A consultation is taking place to help shape the future of pharmacy services in Bedford Borough.
Every three years we undertake a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA), and the next one for our borough is due to be published by 1 October 2025.
The PNA looks at what pharmacy services each area has, where they are located and what pharmacy services might be needed in the future.
We are now consulting on the recommendations and findings outlined in the draft PNA for Bedford Borough, and welcome feedback from organisations and members of the public. You can find more information and have your say through our website at https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/necs/bedford-borough-pna-consultation-2025 This consultation is now open and runs until 21 June.
Councillor Martin Towler, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Communities: Health and Wellbeing said; “Access to high-quality pharmaceutical services is a key part of ensuring the health and well-being of our residents. A robust pharmaceutical service ensures that residents receive the medications and advice to manage their health effectively.
“Pharmacies also play a critical role in preventative care, helping to reduce the burden on our healthcare system.
“We are committed to working with our partners, and hearing from members of the public is also an important part of shaping this important strategy.”
