The Mayor of Bedford Borough and Councillor Sarah Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience, officially opened the Bedford Borough Hub today, celebrating the initiative's success in its early days of operation.

Mayor Tom Wootton said: "It is an absolute pleasure to mark the opening of the Bedford Borough Hub today officially. Since quietly opening our doors, we’ve already had the privilege of helping over 1,000 residents through the Hub – a clear testament to the value this initiative is bringing to our community."

The Bedford Borough Hub offers a wide range of services, from advice and query resolution to in-person and digital assistance. The team is committed to ensuring that every resident receives the necessary support, whether accessing council services or seeking help from partnered organisations.

The Mayor highlighted the partnerships with key organisations, which enhance the Hub’s capacity to meet the needs of Bedford Borough’s residents. “Our partnerships with key organisations, such as the Citizen’s Advice Bureau and Public Health Outreach Team, further enhance the services available here. All the staff here today should be proud of the early success and even more excited for the future.”

Councillor Sarah Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience, emphasised the importance of the Hub, stating: “By providing tailored assistance, digital services, and access to key resources, our goal is to improve the overall customer experience and strengthen engagement within the community.”
