Nominations are now open for the Bedford Sports and Physical Activity Awards 2024!
Bedford Borough Council are calling on all residents to celebrate the incredible individuals, clubs, and coaches who make our local sporting and physical activity scene so vibrant. Nominations are now open for the prestigious Bedford Sports & Physical Activity Awards 2024.
Councillor Sarah Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience, Leisure and Culture, said; "These awards are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the dedication and achievements of those who inspire us all through sport and physical activity. From talented athletes to tireless volunteers, these awards celebrate the very best of Bedford Borough's sporting community. I encourage everyone to get involved and nominate someone who deserves this recognition."
A wide range of categories are available, including:
- Adult Personality of the Year (sponsored by Jewson Partnership Solutions)
- Junior Personality of the Year (sponsored by Rotary Club of Bedford Park)
- Adult Disability Sports Personality of the Year (sponsored by Manor Hospital, part of Circle Health Group)
- Junior Disability Sports Personality of the Year (sponsored by Gale Family Trust)
- Club of the Year (sponsored by Be Active)
- Community Person Award (sponsored by Bedford Sports Foundation)
- Community Club/Group Award (sponsored by Better, Bedford Leisure Facilities)
- Primary School of the Year (sponsored by Times Tables Rock Stars)
- Secondary School of the Year (sponsored by the University of Bedfordshire)
- Team of the Year (sponsored by the University of Bedfordshire)
- Coach of the Year (sponsored by The Bedford College Group)
- Unsung Hero (sponsored by Harpur Trust)
- Young Volunteer of the Year (sponsored by Bedford Physical Education Old Students’ Association)
- Service to Sport (sponsored by Bedford Borough Council)
