Pending Licensing Act 2003 applications

Under the Licensing Act 2003, responsible authorities and others have 28 days from the application date for a Premises Licence/Club Premises Certificate (and variation) to make representation to the Licensing Authority. 

Representations must be made in writing and it is an offence under Section 158 of the LA 2003 knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. Those who make up a false statement may be liable on summary conviction to a fine of any amount.
