The Council in its capacity as a licensing authority adopted three Cumulative Impact Areas in 2018.
Where a licensing authority has adopted a Cumulative Impact Policy it is required to review the assessment periodically to establish if the evidence is still relevant and publish said review.
A detailed review of the Cumulative Impact of licensed premises has been undertaken for the Council by a specialist company, MAKE Associates (who also conducted the original assessment).
The review has concluded that the current evidence supports the retention of the existing three areas and that at present there is no evidence to support an extension to these areas.
The Council is now seeking your views on this assessment which can be accessed here.
