The Ready, Set, Read! Summer Reading Challenge starts on Saturday 15 July and finishes on Saturday 9 September.

Children can register free at any time between these dates in all libraries during staffed hours, as well as the mobile library. They will receive a pack with everything they need to start earning rewards for reading library books.

6 books – certificate and set of scratch and sniff stickers

12 books – glow-in-the-dark bookmark

18 books – medal

Children or their parent/guardian will need to have a library card to register for the Summer Reading Challenge. You can join during staffed hours at any library, on the mobile library, or they can join online.

There are free crafts for children in all libraries every day of the school holidays, as well as regular activities like Lego Club and Sunday Funday. Check your local library for dates and times of all activities and sessions.
