Supporting people with long-term health conditions
Active Wellbeing sessions are specifically structured, gentle exercise sessions for people moving through cancer treatment or have long-term health conditions that limit normal exercise.
This is not a clinical referral group and please consult your medical team or GP before attending.
Mondays at John Bunyan Centre
The gentle exercise sessions take place each Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) at John Bunyan Sports and Fitness, Mile Road, Bedford, MK42 9TS.
11.30am-12.30pm.
Each session costs £3.50 per person.
Thursdays at Bedford International Athletics stadium
The gentle exercise sessions take place each Thursday at Bedford International Athletic Stadium, Barkers lane, Bedford MK41 9SB.
11:30am-12:30pm.
Class will take place upstairs, a lift is available.

New - Active Wellbeing Table Tennis
Informal and social table tennis.
Every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) at The Higgins Bedford Castle Lane, Bedford MK40 3XD
11.30am-12.30pm.
£3 per session (pay on arrival - cash only).
Just turn up and join in the fun at one of our relaxing table tennis session in a quiet and calming environment. Please bring comfortable clothes and a drink.
Coaches are on-hand to support beginners and improvers can join in with regular players for informal social games.
The sessions are designed by our qualified coach and specifically structured to support people experiencing long term health conditions. These are not clinical sessions, please consult you medical practitioner for approval to take part in gentle exercise prior to attending.
