How we can help
Where it is safe to do so, we may be able to help you remain in your home.
If it is not safe for you to stay in your home, we will find you somewhere safe to stay. We may be able to find you a refuge if you are eligible. If this is not possible, we will arrange for you to stay in emergency accommodation.

What is domestic abuse?
Domestic abuse includes any incident of:
- physical or sexual abuse
- violent or threatening behaviour
- controlling or coercive behaviour
- economic abuse
- psychological, emotional, or other abuse
Domestic abuse can happen between two people who are or were intimate partners or family members, regardless of their gender or sexuality.
What other help is available?
There are several organisation that offer help to people affected by domestic abuse:
- National Domestic Abuse Helpline (Refuge - for women and children)
- National Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men
- IMPAKT support women, men, and families escaping domestic abuse to find either temporary or long-term, safe housing solutions.
