The consultation on the planning application, along with the plans, drawings, Environmental Statement, and other associated documents for Universal Destinations & Experiences has commenced.
The proposals, include an entertainment resort complex with several themed lands, rides, attractions and entertainment, as well as a 500-room hotel and a retail, dining and entertainment complex.
The application indicates it will generate nearly £50 billion of economic benefit for the UK and create thousands of new, high-quality jobs – up to 20,000 jobs during construction and 8,000 new jobs once the park is open.
Consultation period
The consultation is open from 12pm Thursday 3 July until 12pm Sunday 31 August 2025.

The consultation is being hosted by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG).
Paper copy of the planning application
Bedford Borough Council is not responsible for running the consultation, however a printed copy of the planning application is available to view by appointnent at Bedford Borough Hub (Horne Lane) on Monday-Friday, between the hours of 9am-5pm (from 10am on Wednesdays).
