The BedfordBID Company Limited served notice on the Council to instruct the Ballot Holder to hold a ballot for renewal of a Business Improvement District (BID) for Bedford Town Centre for the period 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030. 

Having received the proposal, a Ballot must now be held among the business ratepayers in the area of the BID to see whether a majority agree with the proposed renewal. The Returning Officer for the Ballot is given the title Ballot Holder.

A BID is currently in place and will remain in place until 31 March 2025. Details of this BID are available online at www.lovebedford.co.uk

The BID Ballot is an all postal ballot and ballot papers will be sent to all eligible business ratepayers during week beginning 16 September 2024.
