Citizens' Survey
Tell us what local issues are important to you. If you're a resident of Bedford Borough, aged 18 or over, take part in our Citizens' Survey and have your voice heard.
We offer impartial help, support and guidance on all aspects of bereavement including memorialisation. Bereavement Services are full members of The Charter for the Bereaved.
Unfortunately Bereavement Counselling is no longer available at Norse Road Cemetery but there is a Bereavement Group at St Mark's Church Bedford.
To make an appointment with us please call 01234 718150. Appointments are available between 10am to midday or 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday.
If you’re on a low income and need help to pay for a funeral you’re arranging, you could get a funeral payment. How much depends on your circumstances and if you qualify.
Any money you get is usually paid back from the deceased person’s estate (if they have one). Visit GOV.UK for further information.
For anyone who has served in the armed forces, it may be possible to obtain assistance with funeral arrangements. You can find further information at Veterans UK, The Royal British Legion, or The Royal Navy Benevolent Trust.
Please read our Public Health Funeral Policy.
If you wish to see a member of staff at Norse Road crematorium and cemetery, you will need to make an appointment between the hours of 10am to 12pm or 2pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday. This will ensure staff will be available to help on request.
