Do you want help talking to your children about cancer?

An online event is being held on Tuesday evening, by the East of England Cancer Alliances’ Patient Partnership Group.

Children often know when something serious is affecting the family and people they are close to. It is important to give them the chance to talk openly about their fears and worries. Trying to protect children from difficult news, worry and distress is natural.

Lisa Punt, Centre Head at cancer charity Maggie’s Cambridge, will talk about topics such as finding the right language, time, and place to talk to children about cancer. A member of the public will also talk about their experiences.

The event takes place on Tuesday 9 July from 6.30-7.30pm. To book your place, email england.eoecancerallianceteam@nhs.net.

This is the fifth in a series of information events that have been running. If you would like to watch the recording of previous events in the Let’s Talk About Cancer series, you can find them online here.
