After an extended closure for renovations, Bedford Borough Council is thrilled to announce its reopening of Oasis Beach Pool.
During the closure, Bedford Borough Council invested approximately £500,000 in enhancing the facility. Updates include improvements to plant and equipment for increased energy efficiency and longevity, as well as redecoration to provide a brighter and more welcoming atmosphere. Essential infrastructure such as boilers, heating, cooling, and customer facilities have been updated and replaced. Additionally, catering services have been reinstated, a new party room has been added, and a new caterer has been contracted.
Visitors can expect a refreshed venue experience with upgraded facilities, enhanced services, and a new programme of activities. The management of the venue will be overseen by Better/GLL, a highly experienced operator known for its commitment to excellence.
Councillor Sarah Gallagher, Portfolio Holder for Customer Experience, highlighted the positive changes already seen in leisure facilities across Bedford Borough. "We're seeing a wholesale improvement of all our leisure centres under the GLL/Better partnership," she remarked.
“Local residents experience is vital at all of our sites and a priority set by myself and the Mayor for Better/GLL. I can’t wait to see families across our Borough enjoy the pool again and see the improvements we’ve made," she added.
