A fire engine, farm animals and soft play will be coming to a morning of fun for the whole family hosted by Bedford Borough Council next month.

The celebration event, on Saturday 8 June, will be hosted by ECP (Early Childhood Partnership) Children’s Centres and Bedford Borough Council’s Family Hubs. There will also be the chance to join in with some wriggles and jiggles for younger ones, and for older children there will be a range of outdoor games, while parents will be able to talk to local services and professionals to find out what they have to offer.

Family Hubs work alongside the Children’s Centres to support all children, young people and their families from 0-19 years old. The aim is to provide a one-stop shop which enables the best start for all, through activities, workshops and support.

Children’s Centre Manager Helen said; “This is our fourth year running the celebration event. We’ve had great success in the past, with lots of families coming along to learn more about the services available to them. This year we have more activities available for you and your family to enjoy.”

Family Hubs Project Co-ordinator Ruth Preece said; “We want this event to be a celebration of all the work that we and the Children’s Centres have done and will continue to do to support families in Bedford Borough and we invite them to come along to join in the festivities with us!”

The event is being held on Saturday 8 June from 9.30-11.30am at Daisy Hill Children's Centre in Hillgrounds Road, Kempston, and entry is free. Find out more here.
