Rights of Way Improvement Plan consultation

Bedford Borough Council has produced a draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2024–2029 for public consultation and we would like your feedback.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who wish to access the network and people who already use our rights of way network.

Our draft plan sets out our vision to:

  • ensure the PRoW network is a valued as an asset
  • improve service provision and work with network users
  • maintain a safe and easily accessible network
  • get people involved
  • inform and promote the network

The consultation runs from 18 March until 17 June 2024.

A paper copy can be viewed at Borough Hall by appointment only. Please email rightsofway@bedford.gov.uk to make an appointment. 

Please email your comments on the document to rightsofway@bedford.gov.uk.

What happens next

The consultation closes at 5pm on 17 June 2024.

Comments received through the consultation process are important and will be considered before the Council finalises the Rights of Way Improvement Plan.

Respondents and key stakeholders will be notified about the adoption of the document and how to view a copy in due course. This is likely to be during the Summer of 2024
