The Greater South East Net Zero Hub, in collaboration with Bedford Borough Council, is actively seeking Bedfordshire-based installers to join its growing supply chain dedicated to delivering energy-efficiency measures, renewable energy solutions, and low-carbon heating. The initiative, funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), is part of the Government's commitment to retrofit programs, including the ongoing Home Upgrade Grant.

Jim Weir, Portfolio Holder for Environment, Highways, and Transport at Bedford Borough Council, expressed enthusiasm for the potential benefits this initiative could bring to Bedfordshire businesses. "We are excited to see more Bedford Borough companies seize the opportunities presented by the Greater South East Net Zero Hub. By participating in this initiative, local businesses can play a pivotal role in delivering energy-saving upgrades and low-carbon heating to homes in our region, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient community."

The domestic retrofit schemes managed through the Hub's Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), are accessible to all PAS2030:2019, MCS, and Trustmark registered businesses, regardless of size. The Council encourages local installers to explore this avenue, as it aligns with its commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

Details on the DPS process and specific requirements for installers can be found on the Greater South East Net Zero Hub website at www.gsenetzerohub.org.uk/supply-chain-procurement/. For inquiries, interested parties can contact supplychain@gsenetzerohub.org.uk.
