Is your child due to start school or move up to middle school this September? You need to apply by Monday 15 January for the best chance of getting a place at your preferred school.
Bedford Borough Council’s online admissions system is open to all parents and carers who live within the Borough and whose children are due to start primary or lower school, or transfer to a middle school, in September 2024.
Parents and carers who have a child (born between 1 September 2019 – 31 August 2020) starting school in September 2024, or a child in Year 4 at a lower school to transfer to a middle school in September 2024, should apply now.
The online admission system is available at www.bedford.gov.uk/onlineadmissions and will close for primary, lower and middle school applications on Monday 15 January.
Councillor Jane Walker, Portfolio Holder for Family, Education and Children's Services said; “Applying for a school place is a quick and simple process that can be done online in a matter of minutes.
“Please do make sure that you get your applications in by 15 January. Missing the deadline could seriously reduce the likelihood of being offered one of your preferences.”
Once the deadline passes, any application received will be considered as late, and the chance of gaining a place at a preferred school could be greatly reduced.
