From Saturday 1 to Sunday 16 April, families are invited to visit Bedford Borough Libraries for free fun craft activities. Bedford Central, Bromham, Kempston, Putnoe, and Wootton libraries all have activities planned. Crafts include making Easter bunting, Easter wreaths, and butterfly bracelets. There will also be Lego clubs in all the libraries. Bedford Central Library has a special Easter Story Time on Wednesday 5 April 11:30am – 12:00pm.

Councillor Doug McMurdo, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture, said, “It’s fantastic that children across Bedford Borough have the opportunity to visit our libraries to borrow books and enjoy a variety of free creative activities over the holidays.

“The Story Time session at Bedford Central Library is going to be great fun for young children!”

All children are welcome, even if they are not yet library members, and all activities are free. Parents and carers must remain with children under 14. It’s free for people of any age to join Bedford Borough Libraries. A parent or guardian will need to complete a form for children to join a library during staffed hours. It is also possible to join online at any time and then collect a library card during staffed hours.

Library members can choose from a huge range of physical books and magazines for all ages. Members can also access thousands of digital books, audiobooks and magazines, at no charge.
