The term Early Help is used to describe the process of taking action early and as soon as possible to tackle problems emerging for children, young people and their families.
Effective help can occur at any point in a child or young person's life.
Our Partnership Framework (PDF) also sets out how Early Help is essential in achieving outstanding outcomes and life chances for all our children and young people.
Bedford’s Early Help Strategy 2015 - 2018 was subject to consultation during the early part of 2015. Read and overview of the consultation feedback here. (Word, 74KB) to read an overview of the consultation feedback.
The draft Strategy was then presented to the Bedford Borough Executive Committee on the 11 March and was universally endorsed.
