The Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently in times of crisis overseas, including British Red Cross, Oxfam, CAFOD, Islamic Relief.
Any donation, big or small, will help with the emergency response which could include water and sanitation provision, shelter and food support as well as assistance with longer-term rehabilitation efforts.
The Bedford Turkish Community has arranged to take essential items from any residents wishing to make physical donations. Items can be left at 59 Murdock Lane, Bedford, MK41 7PL.
