Russell Park is located off Bedford Embankment and provides a range of sports facilities, recreation space, a community café and herbaceous gardens.
It was opened as a recreation ground at the end of the 19th century following the widening of the river and opening of the Suspension Bridge.
As COVID-19 rates remain high in Bedford Borough, we are asking residents to continue help us keep our play areas as safe as possible and continue to follow the play area rules.
The Kiosk is currently open for take-away service only.
The toilets at Russell Park are open from 10am to 5pm. To ensure our public toilets are COVID-safe they will all have an enhanced cleaning routine as well as hand sanitisers in place.
There will also be signage to remind people of the importance of good hygiene and social distancing.
