Community Governance Reviews

Government guidance suggests that it is good practice to conduct a Community Governance Review every 10-15 years.

A Community Governance Review is a review of parishes and other arrangements by which communities can be represented and through which they can engage.

The main aims of a review are to secure future arrangements that:

  • reflect the identities and interests of the communities in the area; and
  • are effective and convenient

The most recent community governance review took place in 2017. If you would like to see any reviews prior to 2017 or further information, please email us on
