Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy consultation

Bedford Borough Council has produced a draft Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy for public consultation, and we would welcome your feedback.

Draft EV Charging Strategy 2024-27

Our draft EV strategy 2024-27 sets out how we propose to increase provision of public chargepoints across Bedford Borough over the next three years. It draws on the findings of our survey in October and November 2023 – thank you to everyone who responded.

The consultation runs from 30 April to 2 June 2024.

How to have your say

You can read a summary of the strategy, and give your comments on it, using our online consultation system below:

Comments received through the consultation process are important and will be considered before the Council finalises the strategy.

What happens next

The final strategy will be published later this year, and will be used to procure a supplier to install the new chargepoints.

There will be local engagement to identify and finalise each site for new chargepoints, starting later in 2024.
