Parking Consultations
Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) - Queens Park
Area
Bedford Borough Council is undertaking a consultation with
residents and businesses living in Queens Park, to gather their
views as to whether they would like a Controlled Parking Zone in
their streets. This consultation has stemmed from various requests
from local residents whom regularly experience
heavy non-resident parking within their streets and have
difficulty parking near to their home.
The consultation area has been determined to include some roads
where few parking difficulties
currently occur. However, the Council is aware that where CPZ’s are
introduced, displacement
parking from those areas can then spill over into adjacent
streets/areas. It is considered that
residents in all streets likely to be affected by any CPZ in the
area should be consulted for their
views.
A consultation evening has been arranged at the QUEENS
PARK COMMUNITY CENTRE, Marlborough Road
on Tuesday 4th December 2012, between 7pm and 9pm.
This is an opportunity to ask any
questions you may have and to speak to Borough Council
officers
and Councillors regarding the proposals. For furthe information,
please contact 01234 276212.
