Mindful Sport

Mindful Sport Wellbeing Programme -

The aims and objectives are to improve mental health and wellbeing through social engagement and physical activity. The programme “Mindful Sport” for Bedford now includes the following sessions:-

Mindful Table Tennis - £2

At The Higgins Museum, Bedford. Mondays, 2-3pm. £2 per person. Just Turn Up. Age 18+

 

Mindful Sport for Young People - £3 [12-18year olds] - formerly Yoga for Young Minds 

From 16th October, the new session will take place every Tuesday from 4.00pm at John Bunyan Sports & Fitness [Click here for leaflet] and young people can get active in an informal and social environment. Parents can stay in the café at the leisure centre and chat to CAMHS staff who are on hand to offer support and advice.

The session offers Yoga 4.00-5.00pm;  Table Tennis  upstairs 4.30-5.30pm; and Badminton  in the Main Hall 4.30-5.30pm. All sessions are led by qualified coaches.

Yoga Participants are welcome to join in with the other activities after the Yoga finishes at no extra cost.

 

Mindful Yoga - £3*

At Bedford Central Library. Wednesdays, 1pm - 2.30pm*  £3 per person*  Just Turn Up.  Age 18+

Coffee, Tea and refreshments included afterwards.

*On the last Wednesday of the month the session is just 1 hour long from 1-2pm and only £2 on that day

 

Relaxation Swimming - £3

Robinson Pool, Wednesdays, 8-9pm. £3 per session. Just Turn Up. Age 18+

 

The Wellbeing Walk - FREE

Meeting at The Higgins museum reception on Fridays at 11am. Just turn up. Age 18+
A one hour social walking group around various Bedford routes with a coffee stop either during the walk or afterwards.

 

For all paid sessions - no need to book - just turn up and pay on the day! For adults 18+ (unless specified).

No diagnosis is required but sessions are aimed at those who feel they would like to improve their mental health. Mental health professionals will be supporting the delivery and signposting users to other local services that are available.
