Sports Development Aims and Objectives

Sports Development has a real impact on the agendas of other agencies with initiatives that support health, crime reduction, social inclusion and physical education.

The current work of the Section has been shaped by the Council's Community Plan and the Sports Development Strategy (2008 - 2009), which produce real initiatives that result in long term enhanced quality of life for individuals within the local community The various Council targets outline the corporate aims and objectives. These are all met by Sports Development work.
