The centre offers a full range of challenging and exciting outdoor
education and adventure activities. These include:
- Indoor and Outdoor Climbing
- Abseiling
- Paddlesport including Canoeing and
Kayaking
- Archery
- High Ropes Course including Jacobs Ladder,
All Aboard, Crate Stack, Leap of Faith and Balance
Beams
- Orienteering
- Team Building Challenges including Leaky
Pipe, shelter building, the ‘Electric’ Maze, Parachute games and
many more
- Journeying including Camping Expeditions-
walking or canoeing.
Courses at Kempston Outdoor Centre are designed to be fun,
exciting and to promote the personal development of our students
through the adventure experience. We provide opportunities for
developing skills that will benefit participants throughout their
lives.
Kempston Outdoor Centre is open to Schools including Home School
Groups, Colleges, Universities, Community Groups including Scouts,
Boys Brigade, Guides, Football teams, and also to Individuals
(Children & Adults) for Group Team Building, Birthday Parties,
Skills Courses, Expeditions, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, school
holiday & after school activity clubs.
We tailor our courses to meet the requirements of our clients
working in activity groups of up to 8 participants per instructor.
Safety and quality are the top priorities on our courses! Students
are provided with all necessary safety equipment. All our
instructors are experienced at working with young people and are
appropriately qualified in the activities they lead. All staff are
first aid qualified and CRB cleared. Kempston Outdoor Centre is
inspected and licensed by Bedford Borough Council and by the
Adventure Activities
Licensing Authority (new window) to provide climbing, trekking
and watersports.
